Semiconductor company Mindgrove launches India’s first commercial MCU chip
Peak XV Partners-backed fabless semiconductor startup Mindgrove Technologies said on Sunday that it launched what it claimed is India’s first commercial high-performance SoC (system on chip). Named Secure IoT, it is designed for IoT devices and will likely cost 30% less than other chips in similar segments.
Mindgrove launches first indigenously designed microcontroller chip
Incubated at IIT-Madras’ Pravartak Technologies Foundation, chip design start-up Mindgrove Technologies has received shipment of its first system-on-chip – Secure IOT – from Taiwan. It has also completed basic testing of the chip. A system-on-chip goes into the printed circuit board (PCB) and is like the brain of the device.
Mahindra, Tata Motors receive record patent approvals in FY24
Domestic automobile majors Mahindra & Mahindra and Tata Motors have received a record number of patent approvals for a wide spectrum of product and process innovations in the last financial year. Tata Motors has obtained requisite majority from its shareholders on the scheme of arrangement pertaining to conversion of shares with differential voting rights (DVR) (also known as A-ordinary shares) into ordinary shares. The resolution (Scheme of Arrangement of Tata Motors and its shareholders and creditors under Sections 230 to 232 of the Act) received an overwhelming 99.81 per cent ‘for’ votes, showed a stock exchange filing made by the company.
